The story has been selected!

Seventeen synopsis' were put forward for consideration by all twenty writers and after much deliberation, the project now has the story it will be working on during 2009.

Of course, the story details will be a secret until the publication date but we can share with you that of the various voting criteria the main consideration was that our story should be sufficiently 'special'to do justice to this unique project.

The next phase will be to fine tune the story and sub-plots and of course, our characters. Whilst this is taking place we will also be looking at the project plan to ensure we are well organised to deliver in the timescale. This is already looking tight!

The writers are now grouped into four 'cells' of five which will take specific tasks as we move forward.

Early Start to the Project!

Writers participating in The Book project held a 'virtual on-line' meeting to discuss a number of topics and one result was a change in the schedule.

Rather than continue recruiting new writers until the end of 2008, they opted to close the door on November 30th and just have the team agreed on that date.

This will now be a smaller team but as we already have wide geographical coverage, the project aims are intact.

The last month of 2008 will be dedicated to choosing the story and preparing for the writing to begin in 2009. This will be a fascinating stage of the project and one we are all keen to begin.
